As the former Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of a business designing, building and/or maintaining electrical and security systems for the Olympic Games, space launch, fiber optic, government use and other purposes, as well as the development of alternative fuel vehicles, Steve is familiar with our infrastructure challenges and means to address them.

Principal, The Burke Group.  Former Vice President and Chief Operation Officer, Newberry Electric.  His major projects included all electrical and security systems for the Los Angeles Olympic Games, electrical systems for Shuttle Launch System at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Norris Cancer Center and other hospitals, numerous Superior Court facilities, Arco Towers, the first fiber optic traffic system in California, and other such projects.
 
Management consultant to Southern California Edison, the City of Pasadena, Earthlink computing network, and the Los Angeles Police Department (division captain).  He has developed alternative fuel vehicles and hydrogen fuel cells.
 
Extensive experience in performance management, manufacturing processes, construction and project management.  Consultant on performance management systems, organization design, work-flow analysis, process re-engineering, business and computing systems.
